I started my carrer in IT business in year 1998 as an absolute freshman. 4 years later I wanted to dig deeper and attended a 4 semster evening school at WIFI Wien (http://www.wifiwien.at) which learned me the theoretical basics in IT. After that I learned alot in real world business. My first contact with server enterprise virtualization was in 2006 with VMware Vcenter 2.0 and ESX 3.0 on IBM Bladecenter with HS20 Blades.
